I am buying Christmas gifts for 2 african american girls, ages 7 and 8, who are from a struggling family. hey are "girly, girls" and like dolls, arts, etc. What are the cool gifts for a girl this age? Also, they need shoes. What is "in" for 7-8 year old girls?

You could get some "Make your own bracelet" kits.
For shoes I'd go with a cute pair of sneakers, just anything pink or purple and girly.

I seriously need to start my christmas shopping this weekend! If I don't begin now, when I should have started back in August, then christmas is going to be ugly.
i don't know what to get though! i have a girl, and she's almost 8. very diva"ish". what are the "in" toys these days? does anyone know?
