What is the best way to win toys using a claw machine?

Those claw machines are so frustrating. I just want to win, and I think there is a way to do it.

Make sure the claw closes all the way,do not play the claws with black rocks on the bottom(theyre magnetic and throw the claw off) and also be sure to grab the heaviest part of the prize because the top if most claws are stronger then the actual hooks or arms
