Princess P
that you think is extremely annoying??
Answer
Only one? I can't keep it to only one... here is my list
Furby
Light sabers & swords that make swashing or other such noises
Any soft toy where you squeze the tummy/hand etc and they say something disgusting like "your my best friend"
Those musical keyboards that you think are switched off but suddenly go "ding ding ding dong dong dong ping" at 1am
All and any Dora the Explora toys with sound
Anything that happily churps "try again"
Playmobil toys that consist of 3 millions tiny weeny parts that you have to put together for your child to enjoy - and later find embedded in the sole of your feet causing extreme pain
And playdoh that your kid insists you make shapes out of for him and you end up with it all under your nails and your hands stinking!!!

Why doesnt my 8 month old play with her toys?
im bored 2
My 8 month old will not play with ther toys! I buy her new toys all the time hoping they will interest her but she only plays with them for a little while. She only wants things like my phone the computer the remote and the dog bowl! And she follows me wherever i go in the house. Is this all normal? Also, what games do you play with your child at this age? what are they capable of learning? Thank you
And
Answer
I feel sometimes the same as you.But kids really are happy with the simple things in life...aren't we all, really!?
Let her be her.Play with her.
We rotate toys every month or so this way it is not so overwhelming. And we try and stick to things where you have to put in the work, like not some of those toys were all you have to do is push a button...boring!
At that age they love balls. We got a plush ball and it is a good size one and my daughter loved it at that age.Get some buckets of water, now that the weather is nice and fill them with bubbles. She will have so much fun.Have a party and bang on pots and pans with spoons.Finger paint with pudding.
Let her have an old phone of yours or a keyboard would be lots of fun too.Toys are so over rated. They learn better by what is around them, than with some toy we spend too much money for.
Their brains are like sponges, soaking up everything.Just follow her lead.
