Well,I'm 15 but I'm friends with an 11 year old and I remember how it was when I was that age.I hate it when people think and say that 11 year olds are so immature and too young.Just because you see ONE 11 year old being so immature dosen't mean that all of them are like that. It isn't like the old days today.Alot has changed. They are discovering and open to more and more than it used to be back then.Preteens could go through puberty as young as 8 now.[for girls] So one COULD be fully developed by age 11.It depends how you were raised. Mature:girlfriends/boyfriends.Immature:eeeeww!
Mature:something that looks cute and shows my figure[shopping] Immature:I'm bored! I wanna go home mom. Mature:aaaaoooooohhh! How sweet![kissing]Immature:eeeewww! nasty!gross! Mature:mom,can I PLEASE have a ipod/cellphone/laptop/plasma TV/concert tickets? Immature:mommy,I wanna toy/barbie doll/toy car!Mature:I know about sex,porn,condems,drinking,celebs,cussing,make up[if girl] and everything..........
[sorry, don't have enough room].............and everything. But I know I shouldn't do it until I am of age.I will try my best to be resposible.I promise.Immature:????huh? don't know what your talking about but it sounds really gross! I think I know what sex is though.mabe I'll try it on little brother/sister tomorrow.Everyone's different so don't asume something right away just because of one person.

i know eleven year olds who enjoy shopping, beg for ipods, love tight clothes, are fairly physically mature, and know about sex and birth control and drugs and all that. but i don't think they're mature.
they still seem a little innocent and like they're trying far too hard to be adults. they watch disney channel and love high school musical and hannah montana and ... yeah. basically, they try too hard to be mature. they may seem more mature because nowadays, they're more encouraged to be like adults sooner. but fundamentally, they're still quite childish. that's not to say that it doesn't vary with the individual eleven year old, but still.
and by the way it's not really mature to want an ipod versus a barbie, to have a boyfirend at eleven, to like shopping. maturity isn't only what you want. the kids who want all that at eleven, well, it's just how they are, and i think it's stupid that they try so hard to grow up. they should enjoy being young. personally, when i was eleven, i knew about sex and porn and safe sex, but i was a wild tomboy-type kid and loved being a kid. i think eleven year olds are preteens, some more mature then others. on the whole, they are younger and more immature then a fifteen year old.
the individual eleven year olds who seem more mature, to me, are intelligent and articulate with a more adult sense of humor. maybe they enjoy shopping and stuff, maybe they don't, but they're not frantically trying to grow up. they're comfortable with who they are, and the person they are is ahead of their peers. it's not because of what they like.

Well, the easiest thing is to ask her what she'd like to do. Kids always have a list of their favorite things. If you okay it with her parents then you can do things on her list.
I've made Barbie clothes (a big hit with Barbie fans), played hide and seek in the house, played bad mitton if you have the materials. Kids have houses full of toys. Start picking out things.
You can color together pictures together. Kite flying is actually pretty popular. That one I do not understand. PLay cops and robbers where there's a safety zone and a flag (anything can be a flag). The robber has to steal the flag and get to the safety spot. The cop guards the flag and tries to catch the robber before they get to the safety zone.
Twister, sing silly songs...etc..
Make cookies (if you have permission to use the stove). Kids love to mix the batter for cookies.
If her parents are okay with it, you could bring a kid make up kit and take turns giving each other makeovers. I don't know why little girls like this but they do.
Play an interactive video game (although, I tend to avoid video games).
Snacks: Keep it simple with things like Easy Mac N Cheese, popcorn, apple slices and grapes, granola bars.
Always ask about allergies and food restrictions. Parents often have a list of no-no foods.
Stay away from sweets, caffeinated sodas, and sugary fruit drinks. It makes little kids hyper.
Once you get her worn out, you let her pick an age appropriate movie. Hopefully something boring so she'll get tired and fall asleep.
If the movie is out, read to her and do the voices of the characters. Make them very exaggerated, if the kid giggle then you did a great job.
Have fun, wing it.
