Office toys: bubble wrap, cardboard boxes and...?

jbrandtc

I've got two boys (one nearly five-years old and the other three-years old). They love it when I bring home a surprise after work. Sometimes I'm at a loss, so my co-workers save used bubble wrap and cardboard boxes.

My boys love to jump on the bubble wrap and every cardboard box becomes a rocket, a pirate ship or a wagon.

What toys do you bring home from the office?

Answer
When I was a kid, my dad worked for the county. He brought home different sizes of wooden spools (like they use for electric wire, etc.). We walked on them. We made tables and chairs. The really big ones, we knocked a couple of slats out of the middle, climbed inside, and rolled down a hill. We had great fun!

need ideas for a class of young kids?

Answer
Well, all kids want to do is play,

So you can have activities such as having them paint pictures or decorate cupcakes.
Kids can stay busy for hours and hours on end with painting or making cards.
They like to play hide and seek and kid games like hot potato.

For the older ones you can have competitions like who can build the best rocket ship from cardboard and normal art materials for kids and the prize can be sweets but be sure not to let the others feel like losers. the winning team may for eg. get 2 sweets each while the losing team can only get one each.

Make sure that you have enough stuffed toys around and plastic cars, dolls and maybe one or 2 dollhouses.

Then you will be taken care of.
