Who would help dig for a swimming pool?

Chris

We had purchased an above ground swimming pool as a surprise for our kids and the money we had put up to hire someone with equipment to dig and level off our yard, had to go to a LARGE bill that we were blind sided by. Now we have a swimming pool but can not afford much to get the spot leveled for it. Our family does not go on vacations, to amusement parks, or water parks because we work just to keep our heads afloat, so we got the swimming pool as something for our family to enjoy. We were planning to have the pool up by Memorial Day but that is not looking too promising now, and I dread telling the kids that there will not be a pool put up this year because they have also worked very hard to earn it. It would take way too long for us to dig with shovels, not to mention the lack of time due to work we would be digging at odd times. I am hoping to find or be referred to someone with the proper equipment to dig and level, who does not charge a ton of money. I do not want to seek credit because we can't afford debt.
Thank you to all who has taken the time to read my odd request/search post, and thank you for anyone who might be able to point me in the right direction.
We are in Northern Kentucky.

Answer
Sounds like you need someone to level a spot for you to erect the above ground pool. Depending on access and the terrain, you could do it yourself with a Bobcat rental, provided you knew how to run it. Or maybe even a farmer down the street with a tractor and a 'dozer blade could do it. Try checking on Craigslist or similar. A couple links below if you are in N KY close to Cincinnati.

BQ: Does it make you wonder if we should get back to some of the simple toys like we use to have?

Answer
LOL I was ghetto when I was little and my friends and I dug a dirty mattress outta the trash and our neighbor worked at a tire shop and gave us a big tractor inner tube and we would bounce on that and then do a flip onto the mattress
