What was your biggest dissapointment in getting presents. Mine was getting clothes....no eight year old is looking forward to more clothes. I wanted toys. There were no electronic gizmos in my day, back in the 60's.

What turned out to have been my favorite present (of 14 years of celebrating), was taken away from me against my will, & replaced... I'd wanted a dog -- all us 4 kids wanted a dog. I was given a very cute, small, toy, terrier-type, real-looking dog, which barked at loud noises. It was 'love at first sight'! I even took it across the alley to show it to the elderly couple who lived there. Then, I put it in my room, & we went somewhere --I don't recall if it was to dinner, or what-- but, I went to my 'dog' first thing when we returned... It wouldn't bark. It never barked again. I didn't know if the batteries had been old, or I had left it on, or if it was broken, and I didn't care which! I loved my dog! But, Mom had the idea that it should be returned, & no amount of crying or pleading could change her mind. It went back into a bag & out the door with her... She returned with a much larger, homely, very slow-moving , robotic-walking, hound-looking dog. I was extremely broken-hearted! I didn't want to hurt Mom's feelings, so I walked it 1 or 2 times a year. Every time I walked past that 'hound', I mourned for my little fuzzy 'barkless' dog... ); What made it even worse was that it left me feeling that Mom didn't really care how I felt. );

Ok, so when I was younger, I had this amazing toy that I had gotten for my birthday. It was a robotic dog that responded to the things I said and stuff like that. I'm pretty sure it had a silver body, blue ears (I remember that the ears also came in different colors with different dogs ) and a screen for eyes, that would show the kid what the "dog" was thinking/feeling . So my question is, downy of you guys by chance know the name of this toy? I had it when In like 2003 I think and I would like to buy one for the tiro I baby sit :) thanks in advance !t
