You've got an old rat there. :) I have two, but mine are less than a year old and still *really* easily excited.
One of the things that they love are dry noodles, they carry them around and chew on them (which is good for their teeth)...but those aren't exactly toys, although they do get really excited about them.
My rats had lots of fun playing with carboard tubes. You can buy ones at pet stores that are made out of rodent friendly materials (basically dried veggie matter) and they can hide in them and chew them up if they like.
Mine reallly like fabric that they can climb up, climb in, or chew up. Old socks are good. There are also some websites that sell "rat hammocks" that they can climb up in to take a nap.
Cat toys are also a good idea, like the little balls with bells stuck in them...they will obsess over them for hours.
"Peas in a Pool" is funny...frozen peas put in a shallow bowl of water. They will try really hard to get the peas out, and make a mess in the process.
A shoebox filled with rags makes a good rat hide-out, especially if there are treats in it. Mine mostly just like to crawl around on the couch under "pillow forts" covered with a blanket.
I know I'm kinda rambling, but I love my rats.. :)

2 year old birthday presents?
A.J.'s Mom
So my son is turning 2 on Halloween. And I have no idea on what to get him. The only thing I have come up with is a power wheel. Like a four wheeler? What is your opinion? Is it too young?
And what are some ideas?
Thanks

When my daughter turned 2 I was in the same problem as you were, I didn’t know what to give her. I search the web, asked people and my neighbor received a package, I went over and saw with my daughter and my neighbor had explained to me that she had ordered this medieval castle from this one site that sells really nice and educational toys, I wasn’t too convinced until I saw my little girl so stuck on the toy my neighbor both for her son. I visited the site and bought some toys and they worked perfectly. Here is the site visit it you might find something.
