I've always wanted one of those little cars that kids drive around in their yard. Is there one that would be suitable for a larger person? And I know someone will say just get a car but I just want a fun thing to drive in my neighborhood that's also CHEAP!
Answer
What you're describing is a neighborhood electric vehicle or a golf cart. If the vehicle is limited to certain speeds, it can avoid certain registration and licensing requirements but they are hardly cheap. Your best bet might be an electric scooter.

Examples of modernized toys?

I need like an example of an old toy that is now modernized. Like barbie dolls used to be paper but now they're 3D plastic. So any examples? Thx :)

Reminds me of a Q I answered yesterday. Erector Set used to be made out of very sturdy thick metal and would last long enough to hand down to your grandkids. One I saw a few years ago was cheap and flimsy.
Watch the American Pickers, they're big fans of toys.
Bicycles used to be made out of wood. Heck everything used to be made out of wood now it's all plastic.
Tinker Toys were wood, now plastic. Blocks used to be wood. I just looked up Lincoln Logs and they -do- still make wood sets!
Dolls used to be made out of porcelain, hand cast, and hand painted down to excruciating details.
Model airplanes used to be covered with paper or silk. Can do that but now there are several choices of shrinkwrap-type coverings.
Ride-on toys used to be called pedal cars because the kids (meaning we/me) would, well, pedal them down the sidewalk. :) That took -work-, now they're *electric*, and we wonder why there's a child obesity problem. :/
All toys used to be basically 'simpler' and required imagination to have fun. Nowadays if they're not animated, transformable, or electric with lights and buzzers they're just not 'entertaining.'
Easy-Bake Oven is now a nuker. LOL!!
